A comprehensive multi-vendor hyper-local e-commerce, service booking, and business directory platform designed to digitize real-world retail and hospitality ecosystems in Ghana.
Core Features
- Multi-vendor listings for stays, dining, services, products, and event ticket sales.

My Contributions
- Engineered the distributed backend using Express, Node.js, and Redis.
- Developed real-time chat, negotiation, and invoicing systems using WebSockets (Socket.io).
- Built milestone-based payment schedules and escrow transactions integrated with Hubtel.
- Created a multi-wallet ledger system with automated commissions and vendor withdrawal workflows.
- Integrated Redis and BullMQ to manage background jobs like reminders and transaction checking.
Key Challenges & Solutions
Challenge:
Securing funds in escrow and releasing them automatically upon delivery verification.
Solution:
Developed an automated Escrow state machine that locks payments in a virtual ledger, releasing payouts to vendor wallets only after a digital signature/confirmation is received from the customer.
Challenge:
Scaling real-time chat messages and notifications during high traffic.
Solution:
Configured Socket.io with a Redis Adapter to distribute WebSocket traffic across multiple nodes, ensuring low latency.
Challenge:
Processing high-volume scheduled tasks like ticket scanning validation and reservation expirations.
Solution:
Structured background worker queues using BullMQ to handle job retries, concurrency limits, and scheduled reminder tasks asynchronously.
